Les Szarka, CFP®, ChFC® is Chief Executive Officer, founder and co-owner of Szarka Financial. He has been a financial advisor and retirement planning specialist for over 30 years. Les builds deep relationships with his clients and has a profound commitment to help them reach their financial goals and objectives.

A leader in his field, he is currently appearing on Fox8 News as a financial expert. He also appeared for several years as a financial correspondent on the television show “Golden Opportunities”, aired Sunday mornings on NBC Channel 3 WKYC. Les has been frequently cited in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Crain’s Cleveland Business, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Inside Business, Sun Herald and Westlife.

Les released his first book, Money Brain: How Your Subconscious Mind can Hijack Your Investment Decisions in October of 2013, after conducting extensive research in the field of Behavioral Finance. He has successfully incorporated many of these principles into his daily practice, both in client management and investment allocation. Les is also co-author of the Amazon #1 Best Seller Money Talks: Life Lessons to Help You Plan Now, Save Wisely, and Retire Well, which was released in November of 2015.

As a result of Les’ unique, lifestyle-oriented outlook on investing and his broad investment experience, coupled with decades of teaching financial concepts, Les has forged a presentation style that makes even the most complex investment strategies easy to understand.

Holding dual bachelor’s degrees in finance and marketing from Cleveland State University, Les is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and a Registered Securities Principal through Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. He is also a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
