Chuck Conrad, JD

Senior Financial Planner

“The will to win is only as important as the incentive to prepare.”

Chuck Conrad is a Senior Financial Planner with Szarka Financial, concentrating on transition planning, whether it results from the loss of a job, a loved one, or relationship. Transition doesn’t necessitate loss, however, and Chuck Conrad routinely advises entrepreneurs who are starting their own business or consultants needing to determine how to calculate their hourly rate. He also frequently assists individuals seeking new challenges or a career change, especially those looking to begin an encore career.

Investment portfolios are an important component of a retirement strategy, but they shouldn’t define the client relationship. Chuck takes a holistic approach, assisting clients in navigating life’s financial challenges in a collaborative way.

Chuck Conrad enjoys educating groups with a common need. With his background in law, taxation, the military and transition planning, Chuck can tailor his presentation to a wide range of audiences, i.e., discussing romance scams with FOX 8 news or presenting to veterans organizations about benefits of which veterans might be entitled.

Chuck Conrad is co-author of the Amazon #1 Best Seller Money Talks: Life Lessons to Help You Plan Now, Save Wisely, and Retire Well, which was released in November of 2015. He received his B.A. from Bowling Green State University, his J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and pursued a Masters of Law Degree in Taxation from Case Western Reserve University. While at Cleveland-Marshall, Chuck was a member of the Journal of Law and Health, the Jessup International Moot Court team, a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge John Donnelly of the Cuyahoga County Probate Court and received the “CALI Excellence for the Future” Award in Probate Practice.

Chuck Conrad is co-founder of Ohio CareerConnect, a networking group designed to assist those in career transition. His background also includes several years of active military duty, serving in an elite unit of the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division during the first Gulf War. Chuck is involved in various local non-profit organizations. He is a past president of the Rocky River Kiwanis, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has named Chuck as one of Cleveland’s Finest Young Professionals.
