Les is Chief Executive Officer, founder and co-owner of Szarka Financial. He has been a financial advisor and retirement planning specialist for over 25 years. Les builds deep relationships with his clients and has a profound commitment to help them reach their financial goals and objectives.

Mr. Szarka’s extensive investment experience, coupled with decades of teaching financial concepts, has helped forge a presentation style that can help make even the most complex investment strategies easy to understand. As a result of Les’ unique, lifestyle-oriented outlook on investing, he is a frequent guest speaker along with being a former instructor for John Carroll University’s preparatory classes for Certified Financial Plannertm (CFP®) exam.

Holding dual bachelor’s degrees in finance and marketing from Cleveland State University, Mr. Szarka is also a CFP®, a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and a Registered Securities Principal through FSC Securities Corporation. He is also a member of the Financial Planners Association (FPA).

Les appeared for several years as a financial correspondent on the television show “Golden Opportunities”, aired Sunday mornings on NBC Channel 3 WKYC. He is also frequently cited in various publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Crain's Cleveland Business, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Inside Business, Sun Herald and Westlife.
