Chuck Conrad is a Senior Financial Planner with Szarka Financial, concentrating in transition planning, wealth coaching, and qualified retirement plans. Two of Chuck’s passions are helping others and lifetime learning. As such, he is a co-creator of Ohio CareerConnect, a networking group for those in transition, and he hosts quarterly workshops to learn about non-finance related topics, such as nutritional wellness, identity theft protection, and various regional themes.

Chuck received his B.A. from Bowling Green State University, his J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and pursued a Masters of Law Degree in Taxation from Case Western Reserve University. While at Cleveland-Marshall, Chuck was a member of the Journal of Law and Health, the Jessup International Moot Court team and received the “CALI Excellence for the Future” Award in Probate Practice.

Prior to joining Szarka Financial, Chuck was a Financial Advisor at both Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch. Chuck also spent several years in the private practice of law with the estate planning and tax group of Chattman, Gaines & Stern in Cleveland, Ohio, and was a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge John Donnelly of the Cuyahoga County Probate Court.

Chuck’s background also includes several years of active military duty, serving in an elite unit of the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division during the first Gulf War. On his own time, Chuck is passionately involved in various local non-profit organizations. He is a past president of the Rocky River Kiwanis and, having been adopted at the age of 6, is committed to assisting Forever Home Adoptions find permanent adoptive homes for the nearly 1,700 children who are in the custody of Cuyahoga County each year. In 2003, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation named Chuck as one of Cleveland’s Finest Young Professionals.
